It all started when we met at my friend’s boarding house.
Nothing special that day just small talk, a casual smile,
and him asking for my Instagram.
Funny thing was, we’d already been following each other since the start of college
as if fate had been quietly setting the scene long before we realized it.
Then came another day, another coincidence.
We met again at the campus canteen,
and found out we were in the same organization.
That day, we went to the briefing together
and maybe, that’s where our paths began to intertwine.
That night, we made our name tags at my place,
laughing between bits of paper and colorful markers.
The next morning, we rode to the training together,
the morning breeze brushing past us,
carrying something new something unspoken.
Three days without phones brought us closer.
He filled my water bottle, shared snacks,
and between busy moments, our eyes often met.
Something gentle began to bloom,
quiet but certain.
After that, we started talking more.
Texting, going to campus together,
and sometimes he’d come over to my place.
Slowly, comfort turned into affection.
And on October 9th, 2024,
we finally made it official
not just caring, but choosing each other.
He’s different.
The way he treats me feels tender, sincere.
He always checks in, always makes sure I’m okay,
and even when we argue, he says softly,
“I don’t want to be angry. I just want to love you.”
That line simple as it is melts every wall inside me.
Since being with him, everything feels different.
He’s taught me things I’ve never known before
about patience, attention, and love that doesn’t need to shout.
He’s the first person who introduced me to his parents,
and the first to write me poems not just one.
I don’t know how our story will end,
but one thing I’m sure of:
since I’m with him, everything feels different.
And I hope, this difference lasts
not just for a while,
but forever.
